Whistler, Vancouver's co-host for the 2010 Winter Olympic
Games, is known as Canada’s recreation capital. With
more than 200 trails, 12 alpine bowls, 33 lifts and
3000 hectares of skiable terrain, it is paradise for
skiers, snowboarders and winter sport enthusiasts.
But Whistler is far more than a winter resort. In summer,
endless trails and lakes are yours to explore on foot
or bicycle. Whistler also boasts the world's largest
downhill mountain bike park. Other summer activities
include fishing, golf, camping, rock climbing, skateboarding
and bungee jumping. Although Whistler is a town of only
10,000 inhabitants, its nightlife and international
atmosphere rivals that of a large city.
